Joseph Boudrow Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home - Braintree on Nov. 17, 2024.
Joseph Boudrow, a beacon of selflessness and kindness, passed away on November 11, 2024, at the age of 88. Born on September 6, 1936, in Quincy, MA, Joseph's life was marked by his unwavering and generous heart.
Joseph was predeceased by his loving mother and stepfather, Mary (Florence) and Frank Spencer, and his father and stepmother, William and Margaret Boudrow. His journey through life was shared with his former wives, Kathleen Dempsey and Evanne Matas, who will forever cherish the memories they made.
A proud father, Joseph's legacy lives on through his children: Bernard Boudrow of IL, Joseph Boudrow and wife Claudia of TX, Anne Clouse of TX, David Boudrow and his wife Deborah of FL, Renee Brown and her husband Adam of Abington, and Jason Boudrow of Abington. His grandchildren Stephanie, Jake, Natalia, Bruno, Katie, Madelyn, Alexandria, and Scarlett added immense joy to his life.
Joseph shared a special bond with his sister, Lorraine Reneau and her late husband "Hank" of Buzzards Bay, and his stepbrother Butch Spencer. His extended family, comprising many nieces, nephews, and loved ones, will miss his warm presence at family gatherings.
Joseph attended Quincy High School, then worked at the Quincy Shipyard. He later devoted over four decades of service to Bacon Industries in Watertown. Though a dedicated professional, he found his true passion in coaching youth sports and was a frequent, enthusiastic spectator at various sporting events, whether in person or on TV. His love for golf was only paralleled by his commitment to volunteering with the Braintree American Challengers League, where he made a significant impact on the lives of children with disabilities. Joseph enjoyed staying active by running, weightlifting and boxing. An avid cook, Joseph loved creating meals for his family and friends but will be most remembered for his sauce and meatballs and the weekly breakfasts he made for his granddaughters.
Joseph's years in Braintree, where he lived for over 40 years, were filled with the echoes of laughter and applause on the sports fields, the clinking sound of golf clubs, and the gratitude of those he selflessly helped.
As we say farewell to Joseph, we celebrate a life well-lived, shared generously and marked by indelible acts of kindness. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a memorial visitation period on November 23rd from 3:00-4:30 PM in the Cartwright-Venuti Funeral Home, 845 Washington Street, Braintree. A brief memorial service will begin at 4:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph's memory to Braintree American Challengers League, c/o Joe O'Connor, 68 Lake Street, Braintree, MA 02184.

I worked with Joe for less than a year at Bacon Industries, but we became good friends. After I left Bacon we used to get together after work to play golf at Ponkapoag or another nearby course. We would play until way past sundown hoping to hit the ball straight so we could find it in the fairway. After I had children we would get together at his house or my house. We lost touch over the years, but I will never forget the times we spent together. I will truly miss Joe. Rest in Peace, my friend.

I have served "Mustang Joe" for the past three years at Grove Manor. Top time favorite resident to say the least. Always asking about school, and dance asking for updates and making sure I was getting all A´s. He always stuck up for us when another resident would yell at us kids hahah!! Even after I left for college last year, I would come back and work for breaks and we would talk each others ears off like nothing changed. "Heyy Sammi, how´s it goin kiddo" always followed by a fist bump. Seeing how much he cared for us kids working in the dining room, I can´t even imagine the kind of love he had for his family, who he would talk about all the time. Mustang Joe is a friend I will never forget and I am sending my condolences to all family and friends<3

I work at Grove manor and all I can say is Joe made me smile everyday. With his "hey Kiddo how are you" with the fist pump. He was so nice to me and my kids. He was such a great soul and a wonderful human.

We met Joe in 2016, our 1st season with Braintree Challenger League. He outfitted my son with his first glove and was so patient with him as he learned to hit with out the T. Such a huge loss to the league, the community and his family. Our condolences to everyone

I am a high school student and worker at Grove Manor, where I´ve had the privilege of knowing Joe over the past year and a half. He would always ask me about running, knowing I do cross country, and always offered a fist bump. He never failed to make me laugh. I got to share so many sweet conversations with him that I am so grateful for. prayers for his family.
