Joseph D. Cabot, age 81, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 28, 2025 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born November 24, 1943 in Uniontown, PA, son of the late Samuel Cabot, Sr. and Cecilia Mary Coddington Cabot. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife of fifty-five years, Rebecca June Paciga Cabot; son, Joseph Cabot, Jr.; and brother, Samuel Cabot, Jr.

Joe was a 1961 graduate South Union High School then enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was the owner of Joe Cabot tire in Leckrone, PA for seventy years. Joe was a member of St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church, a life member of AMVETS Post 103 of Hopwood and Hutchison Sportsman's Club. He enjoyed playing cards, going to the casino and was passionate about tires and hanging out with friends and family. Joe was the best Dad and Pappy, not even in death can we be separated.

Left to cherish Joe's memory are his loving daughter, Angela Hersh (Angie was his forever buddy) and husband Ryan (Joe's buddy and second son) of Uniontown; grandchildren, Matthew Hersh and wife Kennedy of Buffalo, NY and Allison Dempsey and husband Caleb ( his second grandson and that pap loved him dearly) of Smithfield; great grandchildren, Emerson Grace Hersh and Callen Ray Dempsey (who were his greatest blessing); a brother, Michael Cabot and wife Carol of Uniontown; sistersw, Mary Ellen Brown of Westover, WV and Debra McCay of Charleroi, PA; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He will be missed by his grand-pets, Bear, Dixie, Mia and Buddy.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the ANDREW D. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIES, INC., 80 Morgantown St., Uniontown, PA where family and friends will be received on Tuesday from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. Viewing will continue on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 from 8:30 until 9;30 am in the funeral home, with prayers of transference at 9:30, followed by a funeral mass celebrating Joe's life at 10 am in St. Therese de Lisieux Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Mount Macrina Cemetery.

Joe was loved and respected by all.
