Joseph A. Cagno Jr.

Joseph "Joe" A. Cagno Jr., 71, of Warwick, passed away January 31, 2025. Born in Providence, Joe was the first of six children born to the late Joseph A. Cagno Sr. and Theresa B. (Mooney) Cagno.
Joe was happiest when he was surrounded by his loving family and his dogs, Thor, Smokey, Azul, and Bud, who were never far from his side. Joe enjoyed spending time fishing, playing pool, watching sports, and bowling. He shared his passion for music with everyone around him, especially his song writing skills. He was a dedicated Providence Journal reader, completing the crossword section and word puzzles every week.
He was the loving father of Kimberly Cagno (partner, Jacob Garza), Kelli Costa (her husband, Sonny Costa), and Jared Cagno; dedicated "Papa" of Gemini Cagno, Caleb Armstrong, and Sophia Cagno. He was the brother of Carol Wight, Raymond Cagno, William Cagno, Geri Dionne, Betty Cagno, and the late Jacqueline Cagno. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family, and close friends.
Interment with Full Military Honors will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 at 11am in the RI Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Exeter. For those wishing to attend, please meet in front of the administration building at 10:45am. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
