Services will be held December 22, 2023 at 5 p.m. at Young's Daughters Funeral Home & Bereavement Center in Temple, Texas for Joseph Brock Calhoun. Joe, or also known as Joey, was born on December 3, 1988, in Georgetown, Texas to Eddie Wayne Calhoun and Staci Price. From a young age, Joseph displayed remarkable talent and interest in mechanics, which he inherited from his father. Growing up on the family farm, he developed a deep love for working with livestock and cultivating vegetables.
After graduating from Little River Academy High School, Joseph pursued his passion and embarked on a fulfilling career as a mechanic. His dedication to his craft was evident to all who knew him. He could fix anything that required his attention be it motorcycles, cars, trucks, or any mechanical challenge that came his way.
While Joseph's work occupied a significant portion of his life, he made sure to balance it with his hobbies and interests. One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming a beekeeper. With great care and dedication, Joseph nurtured honey bees and reveled in the wonders of nature's delicate balance. His green thumb extended beyond beekeeping as he had an uncanny ability to grow thriving vegetables and plants.
Joseph's vibrant personality endeared him to everyone he met. He was hardworking, kindhearted, and possessed a wonderful sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. Whether it was at the Little River drag racing track or the mechanics at Horney Toad Harley Davidson in Belton, Joseph found himself surrounded by loved ones who shared his passion for motorcycles and automobiles.
Tragically, Joseph's life was cut short on December 6, 2023 while riding his motorcycle in Belton, Texas.
Joseph leaves behind a legacy of resilience and strength that will forever be cherished by his surviving family and friends. He is survived by his father, Eddie Wayne Calhoun, his mother, Staci Price, his brother, Landon Calhoun, his sister, Jenifer Calhoun, and his beloved niece and nephew.
In celebrating Joseph's life and the impact he had on all those around him, we remember a man of great integrity and unwavering determination. He will be fondly remembered for his ability to fix anything that came his way and his infectious laughter that brightened even the darkest of days.
May Joseph Brock Calhoun find eternal peace as he rides into the sunset on that open road in the heavens above.
