It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Anthony Canto on April 7, 2025, at the age of 83. He was born in Tampa, FL and was preceded in death by his parents Henry and Mary Canto, and twin brother Henry. Anthony is survived by his sister MaryAnn Crevasse, cousin Sylvia Oberting and many family and friends.
For many years, Anthony was a resident of the MacDonald Training Center group home program. For the past seven years, he resided at Northdale Rehabilitation. Anthony was a jovial and friendly man. No one was ever a stranger to him. Wherever he went, he was always the first one to extend his hand and greet you with a smile. Anthony was always so grateful for the small things, especially a hamburger with fries, a coke and topped off with a hot fudge sundae. When you watched the enjoyment he received from the small moments, it always brought happiness to our hearts. Anthony's radiant smile and true happiness will be missed.
The family request in lieu of flowers please send donations to MacDonalds Training Center or Northdale Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025, at Boza & Roel, 4730 N Armenia Ave, Tampa, FL 33603.
