Joseph "JoJo" Cavello, 80, of Exeter, passed away Monday, Aug. 5, 2024, in Oakridge Nursing and Rehabilitation, Taylor.
Born in Pittston, he was a son of the late Jospeh and Louise Venetz Cavello and attended Exeter High School. Joe was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.
Joe was employed for many years at Fox Hill Country Club, Exeter, as a cart manager. He also worked at the old Mama Nicks tavern and Dowse's Bar as a bartender.
He was an avid golfer and Miami Dolphins football fan.
Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Rooney; brother-in-law, Eugene Rooney; sister-in-law, Jeanann Cavello; and brother-in-law, Stephen Golenski.
He is survived by his sister, Rosemary Golenski, Pittston Twp.; Michael Cavello, Exeter; Gloria Kolbeck and husband, Stephen, Exeter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A viewing for Joe was held at Howell-Lussi Funeral Home Inc., 509 Wyoming Ave., West Pittston, with a blessing service officiated by Monsignor John Sempa, of Corpus Christi Parish. Interment was in Dennison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
