Joseph Anthony Cosentino, 96, of Jackson, New Jersey, died on November 4, 2025, at home surrounded by his family. Born in Sant' Andrea Apostolo Dello Ionio, Italy, he resided in North Woodmere on Long Island, New York, for 39 years before moving to Jackson 24 years ago. He proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was a Securities Dealer and principal of Cosentino & DeFelice in New York City until his retirement in 1984 after trading for over 40 years. He was a charter member of the Knights of Columbus and a 4th degree Knight at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Hewlett, New York, and St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church in Jackson, New Jersey. While he enjoyed playing poker, Bocce Ball and being a founding member of the Italian American Cultural Club in West Lake, his happiest times were spent enjoying an Italian feast with his beloved family. He was predeceased by his son, John Cosentino, in 2004 and sister, Antoinette Papaleo, in 2019. Surviving is his wife of 73 years, Jean Cosentino, children, Andrew and Eileen Cosentino of Greenwich, Connecticut, Joseph Cosentino of Santa Cruz, California, Ann Marie Cosentino, of Freehold, New Jersey, daughter-in-law Susan Cosentino of Syosset, New York, Vickie Cosentino Beck and John Beck of Township of Washington (Bergen County), New Jersey, Terry Cosentino and Tom Rock of New York, New York, and Michael and Julia Cosentino, of Needham, Massachusetts, 11 grandchildren, Katherine, Joseph, Andrew, Victoria, Michael, John, Christina, James, Nicholas, Anthony, and Adriana, 9 great grandchildren, and sister, Marianne Sama. The family gratefully acknowledges the loving support of family and friends. Visitation is Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM with a 7:00 PM service at Oliverie Funeral Home, 125 S. Cooks Bridge Rd, Jackson, New Jersey. Second day visitation is Sunday 1-5 PM at Flinch & Bruns Funeral Home, 34 Hempstead Ave, Lynbrook, New York. Funeral Mass is Monday 10 AM at St. Joseph's Church, 1346 Broadway, Hewlett, New York, with interment to follow at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmingdale, Long island. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
