Joseph Leo Coughlin, 61, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, July 24th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on October 15th, 1963, in Owatonna, Minnesota, Joe was the beloved son of Charles and Loretta (Simon) Coughlin. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Coughlin; his brothers, Adrian and James Coughlin; and his sister, Jennifer Bishop.
Joe is survived by his devoted mother, Loretta Coughlin, and his loving family: Ann Rapp; Tom Coughlin (Linda); Brian Coughlin (Dawn); Jane Harty (David); Carol Coughlin; Charles Coughlin (Amy); John Coughlin (Amy); Peter Coughlin (Dawn); and his close friend, Sherri Woodcock. He also leaves behind many cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great niece and nephew.
Joe worked for over 20 years in the accounting department at Universal Lending Corporation and more recently at New Home Co., where he was known for his dedication and kind spirit.
He had a passion for travel—especially to the mountains and the beach—and loved hiking and long walks in his free time. Most of all, Joe treasured time spent with his friends and family, who meant the world to him.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ellis Family Services, 13436 W Arbor Place, Littleton, CO 80127. All who knew and loved Joe are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
