Joseph Cumbo Obituary
Passed away on August 27th, 2022, at the age of 78. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Josephine Cumbo; brother, Leonard Cumbo. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Barbara Cumbo; children, Louis (Jen) Cumbo and Jena Cumbo; grandchildren, Stella and Max; sister, Carol Bonferraro; brother-in-law, Thomas Hughes; sister-in-law, Karen (Mark) Lanzalaco along with many nieces; nephews; cousins and friends. Joe retired after 26 years from the Rochester Police Dept as a Sgt. as well as being a Sgt. in the United States Army. In his later years, Joe loved taking care of his local stray cats and was an avid fisherman. Joe's Family would like to thank Hildebrandt Hospice for their wonderful care and compassion. Family will receive friends on Tuesday September 6th, 2022, from 4PM - 7PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 2636 Ridgeway Avenue. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday September 7th, at 9:30AM at Holy Apostles Church 7 Austin St, Rochester, NY 14606. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
