Joseph David Arendziak Obituary

Published by Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes - Seven Hills Chapel on Jul. 28, 2012.
Joseph David Arendziak (Joe Krow), age 43, born on September 12, 1968 at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey, Illinois passed away on July 28, 2012 at Spring Hill Regional Hospital in Spring Hill, Florida. He was a very pleasant child, loving music and mischief. He attended St Mary of the Assumption grade school and he was always interested in extracurricular activities. Joe became a Cub Scout advancing to Weblo and played basketball and football in the School Sports program. One school program held a baking and cake decorating contest in which he won more than once. This led to a love of cooking which he pursued in the Student Work Program at Thornridge High School in Dolton, Illinois. He also became a member of the School Chair. Joe held jobs at many local restaurants in and around Dolton, Illinois and then in the Clearwater, Florida area when he moved to Florida. He found that he loved to entertain and became a Street Performer at local carnivals and fairs. This is where he met the mother of his son, Joseph John Smilecatcher DeSalle. While that relationship didn't last, he still tried to see his son and be part of his life. While together, he learned to make jewelry which was very popular with the young beach folk and consignment shops. He loved the pieces that he made and gave away as much as he sold. He was making jewelry until the day that he died. Joseph was predeceased by his father, Joseph A Arendziak. He is survived by his loving mother, Sylvia, son Joseph John Smilecatcher DeSalle, sister, Elizabeth Shiroish (Stephen) of Chicago, Illinois, niece and nephew, Marie and Jonathan Shiroish, dear friends, Therese Frazier, Nichole and Nate and Triton Babb. Also many aunts, uncles and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to: NAMI 2107 Wilson Boulevard Suite 300 Arlington, Virginia 22201 or call 1-800-950-6264
