Joseph Deacon, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed away on August 30, 2024 at the age of 72. Born on August 14, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, Joseph lived a life characterized by profound faith, warmth, and a passion for adventure.
He devoted himself to his family and was an unwavering pillar of support and love. Joseph is survived by his cherished wife, Denise Deacon, and their children, Brad Deacon and Kelly (Michael) Davis. He took immense pride in being a grandfather to his granddaughters, Ashley Deacon, Kaylee Davis, and Chloe Deacon, showering them with endless affection and guidance.
Joseph was also a loving brother to Larry (Mary) Deacon and Daniel Deacon, and he held a special place in the hearts of many nieces and nephews.
A faithful Catholic, Joseph believed strongly in life everlasting, which brought him solace and hope. His love for the University of Kentucky sports was matched only by his enthusiasm for boating and camping, activities through which he created lasting memories with his family. Joseph embraced life's adventures with an open heart and spirit, always ready to try something new. Glenn worked hard all his life, first at Slider Sand Company on the Ohio River alongside his dad and then Waste Management company.
Family and friends will gather to honor his memory during a Mass service at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, located at 4754 Smallhouse Rd, Bowling Green, KY 42104, on September 6, 2024. The service will begin at 12:00 PM and conclude at 1:00 PM.
Joseph Deacon leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering faith, an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him, and he will be deeply missed.
