Joseph C. Delaney Sr.

Joseph passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Sheffield Bay Assisted Living at the age of 76. Joseph was born April 13, 1948 in Bay City, Michigan, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army Airborne 101St Division and retired from General Motors after 47 years of service. Joseph enjoyed camping, eating candy and taking road trips with his wife, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. 

Joseph is survived by his four sons, Joseph (Kristy) Delaney, William (Jennifer) Delaney, Benjamin (Lindsay Tanner) Delaney and Thomas (Jill) Delaney; ten grandchildren, Amber (Mitch) Abram, Breanna (Devin) DePrekel, Oliver, Kenneth, Brady, Sunny, Grace, Nicolas, Kendall and Noel; great grandson, Levii Abram; sisters-in-law, Sue Delaney and Sharon Schafer; brother-in-law, Robert (Nancy) Pomranky and his beloved dog, Henry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pamela Jo Delaney and his brothers and sisters, Jim Hintz, Terry Delaney, Robert Delaney, Rose and Cindy.

Visitation will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024 from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Gephart funeral Home. Military honors will take place at the funeral home on Friday at 4:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Bay County Humane Society.
