Joseph F. DiCianni Jr., 85, of Prospect Park, formerly of Folcroft, passed away on May 28, 2011 at his home. He was born February 24, 1926 in Philadelphia the son of the late Joseph DiCianni Sr. and Sadie (nee Perri) DiCianni. Joseph was a loving husband, father and grandfather and he was also a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII fighting in the Battle of the Bulge. He also was an avid horse racing fan, enjoyed big band music, spending time with family and friends and he loved going to the Jersey Shore and casinos. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years Margaret (nee Turco) DiCianni; two daughters Arlene Zibelman (Dr. Mark Zibelman) and Barb DiCianni; his son Joseph T. DiCianni; and also survived by his loving grandson Michael Ciavarelli. Joseph was predeceased by his brother Anthony DiCianni. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday from 9am until his Funeral Mass at 10am in the Church of St. Gabriel, Mohawk Ave., Norwood. Interment will follow in Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield. Arrangements in the care of the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, Norwood.
