Joseph Dougherty Obituary
Joseph Paul Dougherty, Jr., 66, of Fall River, Massachusetts, passed away on September 22, 2025, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center.
Born in Fall River, on February 1, 1959, he was a son of Elvira (Pereira) Dougherty and the late Joseph Dougherty, Sr.
A lifelong resident of the city, Joseph was a Durfee graduate and worked as a Printing Press Operator for 39 years. Beyond his career, he held a deep and abiding passion for meteorology. He was a devoted student of the weather, and those close to him knew he would have made an excellent weatherman.
Along with his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Patricia Oliveira, James Dougherty, and Timothy Dougherty; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Private services are under the direction of the Oliveira Funeral Homes.
