Joseph De'von Duncan Sr.

Joseph De'von Duncan Sr., a cherished resident of Guilford County, North Carolina, passed away on March 4, 2026, at the age of 35. Born on September 7, 1990, in Guilford County, Joseph spent his entire life in the community he loved and called home.

Joseph was a proud graduate of Northeast High School and pursued further education at GTCC. He found professional fulfillment working as a Merchandiser in the retail industry with SAS Retail Services, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Joseph was passionate about rapping and creating music, an interest that brought joy not only to himself but also to those around him. His love for music was a testament to his creative spirit and infectious enthusiasm for life.

Joseph is preceded in death by his father, Joseph Duncan; grandfathers, Augustus Shipp and Jack; and grandmothers, Laura Shipp and Lunora Duncan.

He is survived by his loving mother, Jacquelyn Duncan; his beloved children, Joseph Duncan Jr., Kaliyah Duncan, Jo' Nina Duncan, Jalayah Duncan, Jocoiya Duncan, Mila Duncan, Milo Duncan, and Janas Sawyer; his sister, Jamesha Duncan; and his niece, Angel Duncan. Joseph also leaves behind his caring aunts, Bridget Shipp, Sharon Duncan, and Diane Duncan; uncles, Augustus Shipp; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of Joseph's life will be held on Sunday, March 15th, at Triad Cremation & Funeral Service. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM, with the service to follow at 2:00 PM. Flowers are accepted at the service, as a token of remembrance and love.

Joseph De'von Duncan Sr.'s legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. May he rest in eternal peace.
