Joseph Fagan Obituary

Fagan, Joseph
MELROSE - Joseph "Joe Who" Fagan, 75, of LeLoup Rd., passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Troy, he was the son of the late Joseph E. and Helen LeRoux Fagan. He was a 1968 graduate of Cohoes High School.
Joe was a self-employed carpenter and also worked as a machinist at the US Arsenal, in Watervliet. He was a veteran of the US Navy Seabees and served during the Vietnam War.
He was a member of the Nassau Sportsman Club. He enjoyed working with his children, camping, building and was all but obsessive about the care of his lawn. He also was a Diet Pepsi enthusiast.
Survivors include his loving wife, Carol M. Dugrenier Fagan; his devoted children, Holly Marie Ferandez (Osvaldo) of Malta, Matthew Fagan (Jennifer) of Poestenkill, Scott M. Fagan of Queensbury, Eric J. Fagan (Jill) of Eagle Mills and Jennifer Schuttig (Daniel) of Hoosick Falls. He is the brother of Michael Fagan (Verda) of Mooers Forks, N.Y., Mary Kilduff of Cohoes, the late Diane Yando and Helen Criscione. He is the proud grandfather of Kiera, Alora, Sean, Lakota, Amber, Jack, Ethan, Evie, Jaycee and Annemarie; and great-grandfather of Claire. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be Monday, at 11:30 a.m., at the United Church of Cohoes, 123 Mohawk St., Cohoes. Interment will follow at Saratoga National Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may visit at the Philip J. Brendese Funeral Home, 133 Broad St., (Rte.32), Waterford, on Sunday, from 2-5 p.m.
Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the United Church of Cohoes or Make-A-Wish Foundation, 92 Congress St., Saratoga Springs, N.Y. 12866 or the Nassau Sportsman Club, 370 Boyce Rd., Nassau, N.Y. 12123 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, at www.stjude.org

I´ve known the Fagan Family since forever. Idk how I met them, but Joes niece became my best friend and and shortly there after, a neighbor on LeLoup. He was a very kind nice man. Am glad we got to know a piece of his life as well.
