Joseph Fecek

Joseph "Joe" Fecek, 76, of North Olmsted, passed away after a brief illness Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was born May 10, 1941 to parents Joseph and Ann (nee Harcharik) Fecek. Joe was a graduate of Warrensville High School where he enjoyed playing baseball and football. He proudly worked 41 years as a production supervisor for General Motors with 13 years in Marion, Indiana before returning to the Cleveland area at the Parma plant. After Joe retired from GM, he began a second career of 10 years at Enterprise Inc. where he enjoyed the camaraderie with his team. Joe had a "larger than life" presence. He was outgoing and well loved; the type of person who never met a stranger. He was a 10 year member of the Elks club where he golfed and was a member of the Galileans "other youth group" of St. Clarence. Joe's passion though was being the proprietor of "Joey's Bar", in his North Olmsted home. A diehard Cleveland Indians fan, as well as a Cavaliers and Browns fan. He enjoyed going to baseball games, watching movies, and traveling, which included various ballparks in his wanderings. He is survived by his loving wife Marlene; children Lisa (Bill) Roach and Lori Fecek; grandchildren Aaron Grenig and Alexis Grenig; sister Joanne Fecek and brother in-law Ron Horvath; nephews Mark (Carol) Horvath and Jeffrey (Jackie) Horvath; niece Nancianne (Jim) Ohlinger; great nieces and nephews John Riester, Katie Horvath, Scotty Horvath, Dan (Christy) Horvath, Steve Horvath and Jim Horvath. Joseph is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Ann (nee Harcharik) Fecek.
