Joseph Anthony Franklin

November 25, 1964 - September 29, 2025

Joseph Anthony Franklin, 60, of Glen Allen, Va., passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac B. and Ann T. Franklin. He is survived by uncle, Joseph Teefey and Judy; and aunt, Jane Worsham; and numerous cousins. He graduated from Henrico High School, James Madison University and attended University of Virginia for his masters. He retired from the Defense Logistics Agency in 2022. He was an avid fan of the James Madison Dukes, Dallas Cowboys, and the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 8, 2025, 6 to 8 p.m., at Bliley's – Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd. A graveside service will be held on Thursday October 9, 2025, at 3 p.m., at Forest Lawn Cemetery at 4000 Pilots Lane. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Proud and True Fund of JMU (give.jmu.edu).
