Joseph George Fredenburg, 82, of Mancelona, passed away November 13, 2022 at home. He was born on March 13, 1940 in Morley, Michigan, the son of Edgar and Agnes (Polance) Fredenburg.
Joseph was a family man and never missed an opportunity to be with his children and grandchildren. When he was not with family, he enjoyed being on the lake fishing, and bird watching. Joseph proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Surviving are his children Laurie (Doug) Wingate of Washington, Joey Fredenburg of Washington, Todd Fredenburg of Belding, Carla (Frank) Michaels of Allegan, step-children Dawn (Michael) Murphy of Mancelona, Connie (Bill) Swartz of PA, Laurel (Tim) Wilks of Mancelona, several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and sister Lois(Dewey) VanderBrook of South Boardman.
He was preceded in death by loving wife Sharon L. Fredenburg, his parents, nine siblings Margrette, Frances, Edgar Jr., Alice, Ruth, Bula, Mary Ann, John, James, and step-daughter Noline Deveneau.
A viewing will be held Friday, November 18, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Mancelona Chapel of Mortensen Funeral Homes with military honors at 3:30 p.m. Memorial contributions can be given to the Wounded Warrior Project.
