Joseph Eugene Giusti

Joseph Eugene Giusti, 62, a cherished husband, father, son, brother, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, from cancer.

Born on December 22, 1962, in Yuba City, CA, Joe found a true home in the coastal air of Santa Cruz, CA, where he lived out his final years.

He will be remembered for his love of his family, his strong will to live a life of meaning, and his deep capacity for mentorship.

A man of many talents, Joe was equally skilled as a mechanic as he was an exceptional cook in the kitchen. The pinnacle of his culinary skill was the preparation of the cherished family recipe for cioppino.

He proudly carried on this tradition, passed down from his parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents, serving the massive dish to his sprawling Italian family on Christmas Eve.

For nearly two decades, Joe dedicated countless hours to a vibrant fellowship focused on helping others overcome personal struggles.

This profound, life-affirming work was a defining part of his character. He was a steadfast, guiding light to many, offering wisdom, compassion, and a non-judgmental ear.

His dedication to this community, and the spirit of service and profound conviction he lived by, created a powerful and lasting legacy of positive change that will continue to resonate with those he helped.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Frannie; his loving parents, Richard and Sandra Giusti; siblings, Andy, Risa, Kiki, and Alex, who will deeply miss his presence; he was a devoted father to Joel (Megan) and Allison; a caring step-father to Miles and Hume; and loving grandfather to Harmony, Lucas, Bradley and Ashley.

A memorial service will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City, CA, on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2 PM, with a gathering to follow at Hillcrest Catering.
