Joseph Andrew Harner, 80, of Wabash, Indiana, died at 12:25 pm, Friday, March 13, 2026, at his home. He was born on November 28, 1945, in Wabash, to Leo Louis and Mary Madeline (Jones) Harner.

Joe was a 1963 graduate of Wabash High School, and a US Navy veteran. He married Diane Dunphy in Wabash on October 19, 1968. Joe was the store manager at Clark's Finer Foods in Wabash for 27 years, and for Lance's Grocery in Gas City and Marion for 19 years, retiring in 2009. He was a member of the Grace Point Community Church in Peru and the Wabash American Legion Post 15. Joe coached baseball and enjoyed golfing, but he especially enjoyed attending his kids and grandkids sporting events and activities.

He is survived by his wife, Diane Harner; son, Jay Harner, both of Wabash; and four grandchildren, Parker Harner of Wabash, Thaylor Harner of Kokomo, Indiana, Jared Harner of Wabash, and Hudson Thorne of Sweetser, Indiana; sisters, Ann (Mike) Pretorius of Wabash, and Cynthia (Loren) Graves of West Frankfort, Illinois; and sister-in-law, Cheryl Harner of Wabash. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Harner; and his brother, Michael Stephen "Steve" Harner.

Services will be 2:00 pm Monday, March 23, 2026 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Chaplain Dan Keaton officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2pm Monday, March 23, 2026 at the funeral home.

Preferred memorial is American Diabetes Association.
