Joseph (Joe) Matthew Hatmaker also known as Woogie, age 39, passed away at his home in Oak Ridge, TN on January 20, 2025. Joe was born on April 4, 1985, to Melvin Kent and Jane Moss. Joe was a wonderful husband, father and proud to be a dad. He loved animals and music. Joe took pride in his aquarium and maintaining his fish. Joe was a great cook and loved working on cars. Joe was a jokester.
Joe is preceded in death by his father Melvin Randy Kent, grandparents Leonard and Novella Hatmaker and Oddesa Kent. He is survived by his wife Melinda Mise Hatmaker, son’s Levi and Tyler, Mother Jane Moss of Clinton, TN, brother’s William Kent of Alabama, Larry Moss of Alabama, and Matthew and wife Davin of Alabama. Sister Nia Carter, Aunt Sherry Sexton of Clinton, TN. Cousins Brandi and Mark Vanwitzenburg, Trista Harness, Heather and Mack Phillips, Devin, Dakota, Hayden, Realen, Kaylynn, Christopher and Tyler. Very dear friend Kody Phillips and special canine and best buddy ever Avey.
The family will receive friends on Sunday January 26, 2025 from 12 – 2 pm with a memorial service at 2 pm in the Chapel of Jones Mortuary.
