Joseph Martin Hauser, 68, of Latrobe, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, surrounded by his family. Born Sept. 6, 1957, in Latrobe, he was the son of the late Robert G. "Jeep" Hauser Sr. and Patricia M. (Palmer) Hauser. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 23 years, Rose Marie (Skovira) Hauser; their dog, Zukie; three brothers, Jeffrey, Robert, and Jan P. "Porky" Hauser; and one sister, Patricia Ann Kimble. Joe was a proud U.S. Navy veteran. He was known for his big personality, his infectious sense of humor, and his generous, giving heart. He loved making people laugh and never shied away from helping others whenever he could. He is survived by his son, Joseph R. Hauser and his wife, Danelle, of Derry; his brothers, Jerry Hauser and his wife, Deborah, of Greensburg, and Jay Hauser and his wife, Terri, of Latrobe; his half-brother, David Hauser and his wife, Dana, of Newark, DE; and his in-laws, Jeffrey L. Skovira and his wife, Linda, of Morgantown, WV. He is also survived by his granddaughter, Samantha Dias; and many nieces and nephews: Jody, Jeff, Joetta, Clarence, Steven, Ryan, Karla, Courtney, Cassie, Tesla, and their families. His faithful dog, Ebbie, remains to be loved and cared for by family. Joe will be remembered for his laughter, warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought to those around him. His spirit touched many, and he leaves behind a legacy of generosity, humor, and love. To know him, even briefly, was to care about him. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 29, 2025, at LOPATICH-BRINKER FUNERAL HOME LLC, 601 Weldon St., Latrobe. Military services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home by the Latrobe-Derry Veterans Honor Guard.
