Joseph Donald Hedleston

Joseph Donald Hedleston was born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, to Donald Hedleston and Elaine Wellons. He spent his childhood in Plantation, Florida, where he graduated from Broward Christian School.

Throughout his life, Joe demonstrated a strong entrepreneurial spirit, owning and operating two businesses: The Ft. Lauderdale Mail Center in Ft. Lauderdale, and Bell’s Beach Store in Pompano Beach. His dedication to his work and the community left a lasting impression on those he encountered.

Joe is remembered fondly by his mother, Elaine Hedleston; his sisters, Julie Fernandez and Wanda Smith; his beloved son, Tyler Tiedt; as well as his nieces, Christina Fernandez and Alyssa Kamal, and grand nieces Makenzie Fernandez, Aria Kamal, and Mia Kamal.

A memorial service to honor Joe's life will be held on March 1, 2026, at 2 PM at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home, located at 7001 NW 4th St., Plantation, FL 33317.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in Joe's name, a tribute to his caring spirit.

Joseph will be dearly missed by family and friends, and his legacy will continue through the lives he touched.
