Joseph Dean Howard

On April 16th, 2024, Joseph "Jody" Howard, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away at the age of 55, due to a rapidly declining lung disease. He was born in Houston, Texas on February 24th, 1969 to parents, Huey Howard and Jo Ann Montez, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Bridget Howard; his children: Kelsey Seay, Morgan and Jake McShan, and Travis Howard; his four grandchildren; his sister; and his two brothers; as well as many other relatives and friends.
In his early years, Jody loved to visit close family in Louisiana, work on cars, ride go-carts, and play baseball with his family. In 1989, he graduated high school and soon met the love of his life, Bridget, through mutual friends. They were soon married in 1991 and started their family right away. Jody worked to provide for his family and mainly stayed in the oilfield business.
Jody was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything that was broken. He had a huge heart, wit that was sharp and fast, and humor that could make anyone laugh. He took pride in being able to make people feel better about themselves, help bring solutions to problems or issues, and be there anytime you called and needed a helping hand. He had a strong passion for older vehicles and always wanted to restore a 1932 Ford "Vicky" or a truck like the '73 Ford he had in high school. Although he didn't realize this dream, Jody worked on vehicles and helped keep them running for his family and others needing help. He loved spending time with his family and grandkids enjoying outdoors at the beach or park and playing recreationally while bowling and playing baseball. He also enjoyed attending church at The Ark with his wife and daughter's family.
The family very much appreciates friends and relatives for their many levels of support during this difficult time, as well as the professionals at Houston Methodist Hospital CVICU for the tremendous care given to Jody.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 25th at The Ark Church in Conroe, Texas at 11:30 AM
