CHARLESTON - Joseph Alvin Jacobs, 89, of Charleston passed away at 7:50 p.m. Monday (April 3, 2023) surrounded by his wife and loved ones, at his daughter's home in Lawrenceville.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Edwards Funeral Home, 221 E. Main St., Arcola. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cartwright Cemetery, rural Tuscola.

I'm so sorry to see this and your family loss. Joe was a good friend and co-worker on the railroad. We always had a good laugh or two, I truly doubt Joe had anyone who didn't like him. My condolences to Joe's family and loved ones.RIP my friend!
