Joseph James Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Highland Hills Funeral Home & Crematory on Oct. 1, 2025.
Joseph James, IV., age 43, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Sunday, June 22, 2025.
Joseph "Joey" James IV was born October 29th, 1981 to the union of Joseph James III and Linda James in Nashville, Tennessee. On June 22, 2025, The Lord called home Joseph "Joey" James IV. Joey was a beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Cousin, Nephew, and Friend.
Joseph accepted Jesus Christ while attending Millersville Assembly of God.
Joey was a very kind hearted person. He was the oldest of two sons, born to the union of Joseph "Chip" James III and Linda Kay James. Joey was a great son who always respected his parents, stayed connected with his younger brother Timothy, his future sister-in-law Anjelica James, Family, and Friends. Joey always had a child-like spirit which allowed him to be loved by and connected to his nieces, Ava and Naomi James, with his playful antics.
God blessed Joseph with so many talents. His grandmother Lydia James, an art teacher, taught him about the arts by taking her grandchildren to art museums. He was also a self taught mechanic like his late grandfather Willie Milton Robinson.
While attending Hillwood High School, Joey's IT career was first nurtured while studying computer science. Joey would also graduate with an associates of arts from the International Academy of Design and Technology.
Prior to Joey's passing, all of his artistic passions came into fruition as he was employed at Dell Computers and later as a Website Developer. Joey remained diligent to his craft by continuing his educational effects to always ensure he was moving his career path forward. Joey also loved flying drones to capture nature's beauty and even had plans to start a professional career showcasing this beauty through his eyes.
Joey loved the outdoors and would not shy away from planning camping trips with his friends where they would sometimes go white water rafting and kayaking.
Joseph was preceded by his Father's parents, Joseph James Jr. and Lydia James, his Mother's parents, Willie Milton Robinson and Elvira Wilson Robinson.
Those left blessed to cherish and celebrate Joey's memories are his parents, Joseph and Linda James III, brother, Timothy (Anjelica) James, nieces, Ava and Naomi James, a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.
