Joseph Edward "Joey" Jarvis

Mar 24, 1959 - Feb 22, 2025

Joseph Edward "Joey" Jarvis, 65, passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in Davie County on March 24, 1959, to the late David Zachary Jarvis and Gloria Sutphin Boyles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his "Mama," Helen Dunn Jarvis; sister, Vanessa Jarvis Taylor; and brother, Jeff Bracken. Surviving him are a daughter, Amanda Jo Schroeder (Ryne); grandchildren, Jeremiah and Jayden; brother, David Marvin Jarvis; sister, Karen Bracken Mayes; aunt, Margo Sutphin Pennington; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends. Joey was a 1977 graduate of Davie County High School and was employed for over 30 years by Twin City Sprinkler in Winston-Salem.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Hayworth-Miller Kinderton Chapel with Pastor Joey Yokeley officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made at www.hayworth-miller.com.
