May 19, 1949 – January 28, 2026
Joe was born in Madison, Wisconsin to Dallas and Ethel Jenson. He was preceded in death by his dad and mom and sister Judith. Joe was a loving son, an incredible brother, a supportive friend and a BIG Dodger fan.
Joe enjoyed bowling every Saturday with his friends. He won more trophies and medals than he had room for. He was very proud of his accomplishments. He enjoyed all sports but particularly baseball and the LA Dodgers. His favorite player was Klayton Kershaw and he curled up with his Klayton Kershaw blanket every night. Joe enjoyed music his favorite artists were Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond. He would often sneak off to his bedroom to sing their songs. His bedroom was his kingdom. He knew where everything was in his room and don't try to remove anything or you would be in trouble.
Joe and his brother Jeff have spent the last eight years residing in the family home with the loving care of an incredible group of caregivers. These amazing people are part of the family, and their love and support have helped both brothers lead a quality and fulfilling life. Shout out to Better Ways Services and RISE for being such an integral part of Joe's life.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday March 13, 2026, at Christ the King Catholic Church beginning at 1PM. Joe will be laid to rest alongside his dad and mom and Judith at St. Mathews Catholic Church Cemetery located in Shullsburg, Wisconsin.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation be made to: THRIVE 8501 Brimhall Road, Bakersfield CA. 93312.

Joe you were my favorite dental patient for over 30 years. I will miss you NOT talking to me and only wanting to talk to Dr Herrera about the Dodgers!!! lol but deep down i know I was your favorite dental hygienist!!! The memories of you will always bring a smile to my heart!!!

Oh Joe I will never forget you my friend from you telling me about the corn on your toe and I said dont forget the butter and you just laughed, to you talking to your birdies and yelling at the TV screen while watching the base ball games or the games shows. You were a joy to work with and I feel so blessed to have been apart it..
