Joseph "Joe" Kramer, 87, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2026, at Aberdeen Health & Rehab.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery following the service.
A time for fellowship and luncheon will be held following the burial at Sacred Heart Parish Hall.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Schriver’s Memorial Chapel. A liturgical wake and rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Schriver’s Memorial Mortuary and Crematory, 414 5th Avenue NW, Aberdeen, is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook at www.schriversmemorial.com. Services will be recorded and posted on Schriver’s Facebook following the service.

Joe was a Christmas baby, born on December 25, 1938, in Ipswich, SD, to Bruno and Magdalena (Schmidt) Kramer. He attended and graduated from Ipswich High School.
Joe was a lifelong resident of Ipswich, South Dakota. He was employed for 10 years at the Ipswich Dry Cleaners, then 37 Years as a janitor for the Ipswich Tigers High School.
He was a compassionate man who dutifully took care of his mom and dad through to their deaths. Always a cheerful spirit, he enjoyed weekly car racing and spending time with family and friends. His greatest passion was for new cars.
Grateful for having shared Joe’s life is sister, Agnes Heston of Wadena; brother, Adam (Winnie) of St. Michael; Michael (Diana) of Aberdeen; brother-in-law, Doug Ostlund of Wadena; plus many nieces and nephews.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Bruno and Magdalena of Ipswich; sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Orville Genzler of Farmington; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Miki Kramer of St. Paul; brother-in-law Rex Heston of Wadena; sister and brother-in-law, Minnie and Vern Tiegs of Aberdeen; sister, Joan Ostlund of Wadena; and sister-in-law, Marilyn Kramer of Aberdeen.
