Joseph "Joey" Orejan Obituary
Burlington-Joseph “Joey” Paul Orejan, age 19, passed away August 16, 2022. He was a native of Alamance County and the son of Jaime Wilfredo and Elizabeth Anne Moersdorf Orejan.
Joey attended St. Marks Church. Growing up he attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic School and Walter Williams High School. Joey enjoyed helping others and never met a stranger. He enjoyed sports playing soccer, basketball and golfing.
Survivors include his parents; brother, James “Jay” Orejan of Durham; maternal grandparents, Paul and Katherine Moersdorf of Elon; his aunts, Ingrid Frokjer of San Luis Obispo, California; Gema Sanchez and husband, Jorgeof Florida and Marina Milite of Florida; cousins, Anneke, Matthew, Katie and Andrew, Moersdorf, Lisa Sanchez and a nephew, Juan Pablo of Florida. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Jose and Elisa Orellana and his uncle, Jude Moersdorf; great grandfather, FrancisMoersdorf.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 2:00PM at St Mark’s Church Worship Center. The family will receive friends following the service in the church atrium.
