Joseph G. Kerry

Joseph Gerard Kerry, age 68, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Joe suddenly fell ill and after his 2 week courageous battle, his loving family always by his side, each and everyday, Joe peacefully slipped away. Joe was born September 4, 1956 in Detroit, son of the late Joseph and Rita (Abdilla) Kerry. Joe owned and operated Kerry Brothers Truck Repair for many years with his family, working side by side with brothers, sons, and nephews. But his legacy lives on, in the hearts of his family. His passion to bring family and friends into his home, endless summer days on the water, volleyball games, tennis, and bonfires, the laughter will forever remain on that beach, his footprints never to be swept away. Joe (Nunu) loved to bring joy to others. Joe is survived by his loving wife, Marsha Viviano-Kerry; children, Joseph (Natalie) Kerry, Nina (Russell King) Kerry, Anthony (Melane) Kerry, and Paul Kerry; 4 grandchildren, his world, Rowley, Joseph, Lucas, and Emery; his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Joey will be in state from 1-3 PM Friday, September 5 at Ave Maria Parish, St. Denis Catholic Church, 5366 Main St., Lexington, Michigan 48450, with Funeral Mass following at 3 PM. In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be made to the Croswell Lexington Athletic Department, or the Sanilac County Humane Society.
