Obituary published on Legacy.com by Plummer Funeral Home - Augusta on Aug. 19, 2025.
WATERFORD - Beverly "Bev" Ann Kerry, 82, of Waterford, ME passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 after a brief bout with dementia. Bev decided to kick up her heels and square dance her way to heaven. She had a short stay at Glenridge Nursing Home in Augusta where she received amazing care and fell in love with the staff there.

Bev was born on December 21, 1942 in Lawrence, MA. She was the only daughter to William (Kazlouskas) and Ruth (Kennedy) Kerry who predeceased her. She grew up in Lawrence but eventually her family moved to Salem, NH where she attended and graduated from Woodbury High School in 1960.

Along with her two children, Bev moved to Portland, Maine. She was a wonderful mother and provided for her children with lots of adventures and opportunties.

For a few years, she lived in California, Colorado and Alaska and came back to Maine and settled in Waterford.

Bev retired from Eastern Fire Protection in Auburn several years ago.

In addition to square dancing, Bev enjoyed hiking, walking, gardening, and pickleball. She also enjoyed quilting and knitting.

She won numerous awards for her quilts entered in local fairs. Bev was a member of the Quilting Group at Oxford Mill End Store in Oxford.

She was predeceased by her son, John Joubert in 1996 and her granddog, Sassy.

Surviving is her daughter, Jane (Joubert) Huffman of Donnelly, MN and formerly Poland, ME; brother, William "Bill" Kerry and wife, Pat of Fremont, NH; niece, Patricia (Patti Kerry) and her husband, Steve Djukanovich of Dallas, TX; grandniece, Amy Djukanovich also of Dallas, TX; close friends, Pat Perry of Norway, Jane Perry of South Paris, Pauline Bonenfant of Lawrence, MA, Claudette Stevens of Augusta, Glenn Eisenhauer of Gorham; several cousins and many more friends; granddogs, Minnie, Nokie, Bear, Hazel, and Fergus.

Burial will be at Cedar Brook Burial Ground, 175 Boothby Road, Limington, ME at 10:00am on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

While a patient at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, the family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the staff for Bev's excellent care.
