Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, P.A.It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joseph W. Krug Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Joseph was born on August 14, 1945, in Maryland and peacefully departed this life on November 6, 2025, at the age of 80. He led a life marked by hard work, patriotism, and an unwavering love for his family.
Joseph proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, spending 13 months in Vietnam with the 4th Infantry Division. His time in service instilled in him a sense of pride and discipline that he carried into his professional life. After his military service, Joseph built a successful career as a Steel Worker Supervisor at Bethlehem Steel, where he was respected and admired for his work ethic and leadership.
Joseph's greatest joy came from spending time with his cherished family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Catherine, and their three loving children: Deana, Joe Jr., and Brian (and his wife, Karen). His legacy will also continue through his grandchildren: Sierra, Lailah, Trey, Colby, Lauren, and Colin, as well as his great-grandchildren: Julianna, Manny, and Melani.
Joe was a beloved brother to Maryann (and her husband Bob) and Jimmy (and his wife Lisa), and he was preceded in death by his siblings Patricia, Kathleen, and Milton. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews, all of whom will remember him fondly.
Public viewings will be held at Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk, 7110 Sollers Point Road, on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 2:00 PM-4:00 PM and again at 7:00 PM-9:00 PM, allowing loved ones to pay their respects. A funeral service will take place at Our Lady of Fatima, 6400 E. Pratt Street 21224 at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. A graveside service will follow at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation
Joseph will be remembered for his love of lounging in the yard, soaking in the sun alongside his family, and for the warmth and kindness he brought to those around him. As we gather to honor this remarkable man, we will find comfort in the memories shared and the love that he instilled within us all. His spirit will live on in our hearts forever.
