Joseph William Leonard

Joseph Leonard, 82, passed away on December 20, 2024, in Tampa, Florida, the city where he was born on August 15, 1942. His life was one of deep devotion-to his family, his faith, and the natural world he so dearly loved.

A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, Joseph served with honor in Alaska. His time in the military reflected his steadfast character and commitment to service.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Leonard, two daughters, Jennifer Leonard-Nabors and Stephanie Leonard. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Savannah and Austin, who were a constant source of happiness in his later years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Joe Leonard; his sister Sharon Leonard; and his brother Chuck Leonard.

An avid fisherman and devoted nature lover, Joseph found peace and purpose outdoors. Whether casting a line into quiet waters or walking beneath open skies, he embraced the beauty of creation with reverence.

May Joseph Leonard's memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved him. A Graveside Service with full military honors will be held on December 20, 2025, from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM at Myrtle Hill Cemetery 4202 E. Lake Ave in Tampa, Fl.
