Joseph Brian Logan, age 58, of
New Castle, PA, passed away the afternoon of April 22, 2025, at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 12, 1967, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late James Edward and Loretta Marie (Degelmann) Logan II.
On Nov. 7, 1992, he married the love of his life, Sandra 'Sandy' (Obermeier) Logan. She survives at home.
Joe was a graduate of Northgate High School. For 31 years, he was employed by Arconic, where he worked as a quality control manager, earning multiple certifications. Joe was an exceptionally talented artist, musician and chef. He kept life whimsical through his interests and enjoyment of Marvel, DC, Star Wars, music, sunny pool side days and collecting oddities. His passion for playing guitar continued well after his former band days, in a band with his best friends, named Badhouse. Above all his interests and hobbies, what brought Joe the most joy in life, was his family and friends. He always knew how to make them laugh with his comedic sense of humor. They will remember him as the glue that held their family together.
In addition to his wife, Joe is survived by one son Zachary (Jenna) Logan of West Middlesex, PA; one daughter, Loraine (Justin York) Logan of
New Castle, PA; two brothers, Robert E. Logan, and John P. (Joyce) Logan; three sisters, Loretta L. (Denny) Link, Donna J. Logan (Bill Schnarrenberger), and Ruth E. (Jack) McMurray; his beloved dog Willow, and two grand-puppies, Wynee and Rossi Logan.
