Joseph is survived by his loving wife, Vickie Reed MacFarlan of Mt. Sterling; 1 son-C.J. MacFarlan of Lexington; 1 daughter-Katie MacFarlan of Lexington; 3 beloved stepchildren-Sunnie (Dale) Shrout, Kenzie (Andy) Sallee and Dakota Mitchell- all of Mt. Sterling; 3 grandchildren-Claira Thompson, Lakyn Sallee and Dawson Shrout; 1 sister– Lisa (Pat) Lauringer of Standish, MI and his mother-in-law Joan Brown of Piner, KY.
Joseph was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 22, at 3:00 p.m. at the Herald & Stewart Home For Funerals Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. Military Rites by the Mt. Sterling American Legion, Post 22.

I had the pleasure and honor to work with Joseph at Vestis. Joseph had a sense of humor that was unmatched. He was always upbeat and a pleasure to speak with. I am so sorry for your loss, Joseph was a great co-worker who will be missed by all.
