COLUMBUS - Joseph "Joe" A. Mammone, 69, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:54 am, at The Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
Joe was born June 15, 1955, in Canton, OH, to Alberto and Maria (Deciantis) Mammone who both preceded him in death. On September 30, 1978, he married Sharon (Hoffman) Mammone who survives in Elida, OH.
Joe graduated from Oakwood High School in 1973. He worked at Ford Motor Company as a Certified Millwright for over thirty years. Joe was a proud member of the UAW Local 1219. He found great joy in playing the guitar in various Rock and Blue bands. Joe was very good with his hands and could fix anything with a motor. He was a proud owner of a 1957 T-Bird that he liked to drag race and show at many car shows. He also was very gifted in woodworking. In his later years he loved riding his Harley Davidson. Joe loved nature, he just seemed not to be into hiking. He cherished his wife and loved his children and grandchildren dearly. He loved being a Nono.
Joe is survived by his wife, Sharon Mammone of Elida, OH, children, Theresa Mammone of Columbus, OH, Matthew Mammone of Lima, OH, Anna (Tyler) Reynolds of Lima, OH, grandchildren, Kaden, Jacob, Ashton, Mia, Logan, Rosa, sister-in-law, Debbie Mammone of Wapakoneta, OH, siblings, Dave (Allison) Mammone of Lancaster, OH and Dan (Kim) Mammone.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Mike Mammone.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 4:00pm at Chiles - Laman Funeral Homes, Shawnee Chapel. Rev. Lori Wright to officiate the service.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Shawnee Chapel.

So sorry to hear of Joes passing. He was a great friend and a hoot to work with. I'll never forget all the fun we had. We liked the same music and saw some shows together. Sorry we lost touch after retirement. At work we called him FLUFF! Sincerely, Buzz Neiswander

talk about joe mammone funny serious committed and accomplished. joe the guy you could rely on about issues from mechanics to to great ideas and trying to solve problems whatever the situation he will sorely missed and most of all what a legacy! by good guy!
