Raised in Monaca, he was a son of the late Joseph B. Sr. and Amelia (Pinchotti) Marcello.
In 2000, Joe retired from Teledyne/Pittsburgh Tool, Monaca following 431/2 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and many retirement years at his camp in Linesville. He was a lifelong member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church and the Sons of Italy Club, both in Monaca. He was also a member of the Celtic-Reds Club, Aliquippa and a former member of the Monaca VFD. #5.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Erma Huffman Marcello to whom he was united in marriage on September 28, 1957 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. He also leaves two children: Joseph B. III (Lisa Marie) Marcello and Sherri L. (John) Angelis. His grandchildren: Johnny (Melissa) Angelis, Jr., Joseph B. Marcello, IV, Brandon M. (Lauren) Marcello and Sam Joseph Angelis (deceased). His great grandchildren: Sawyer, Thea and a great grandson to be born in December. Three siblings: Harry Marcello, Cathy (late Bill) Milne and Ginger (Bill) Rayz.
He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and a multitude of friends that are considered as family.
In addition to his parents, Joseph and Amelia, he was preceded in death by his brother, Anthony (Ann) Marcello.
Friends will be received on Thursday, October 20th from 4 – 8 pm at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca (724 728 4000) where prayers will be offered on Friday at 9:30 am followed a mass of Christian burial at 10 am in Mary, Queen of Saints Parish, St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
