Emerald Isle- Joseph Charles Marello, Sr., 94, passed away Saturday, September 6, 2025, at Carteret Healthcare in Morehead City. He was born April 7, 1931, son of the late Carlo and Severina Corsini Marello.

A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Joseph served his country faithfully in the United States Marine Corps and retired as a Major. After his retirement he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends on the coast of North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Lois B. Marello; children, Joseph Charles Marello, Jr. (Josephine) of Cedar Point, Jennifer Elizabeth Garett (Michael) of Heath, TX, and Christopher Frederick Marello (Rebecca) of Landis; grandchildren, Edward, Gabriella, Anthony, Emily, Timothy, Charlotte, and Christopher "CJ"; great grandchildren, Hugo, Frederick, Walter, Madalyn, Theodore, and Henry; and a brother, James Marello of Baltimore, MD.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Andrew Marello, Hugo Marello, and sister, Julia Weatherbee.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
