Joseph Anthony Marshall

Joseph Anthony Marshall, 47, of Gordonsville, died on Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at the Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg.

He was born on June 19, 1962, in Charlottesville, the son of the late Ernest Marshall.

Mr. Marshall was a mechanic for New Holland Tractor in Orange.

He is survived by his mother, Grace Marshall of Gordonsville; a daughter, Casie Jo Marshall of Gordonsville; a special friend, Nancy Rodriguez of Gordonsville; a brother, Greg Marshall and his wife, Tammy, of Orange; sisters, Karen M. Wood and her husband, Steven, of Stafford, Kathy M. Moubray and her husband, Roy, of Gordonsville; uncles, Stanley Marshall Jr. of Orange and David Marshall of Mine Run; aunts, Bernice Horner of Rhoadesville, Daisy Garth and Hazel Davis, both of Orange; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Preddy Funeral Home, 250 West Main Street, Orange, VA 22960 with interment at Graham Cemetery. Pastor Daryl Harbin will officiate.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15, 2010.

Joe was an amazing person, he always thought of others before himself. When someone needed him, he was there ASAP. He will be greatly missed among all of Orange County, I'm sure.

I spent alot of time around Joe and the family for years...he always had a smile on his face and was always willing to help out when someone needed it. I was heartbroken to hear of his passing. To the entire Marshall family, please know that you are all in my heart, just as Joe will always be. I love you all
