Joseph Michael Mazzitelli, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, friend, gracefully departed this world on January 27, 2025, at the residence he cherished, surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 27, 1948, in Grand Rapids, Minnesota, Joseph was a man of great spirit, whose warmth and humor left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As the owner of his own business, ECS, Joseph exemplified the qualities of dedication and entrepreneurial spirit. His work was not only a source of pride but a testament to his determination and tenacity. Yet, beyond the confines of business, it was his vibrant personality that truly defined his essence. He possessed a great sense of humor that brought laughter to many and a joyful, fun-loving demeanor that will be sorely missed.
Joseph harbored a deep affection for the great outdoors; he loved spending time at his parents' lake cabin in northern Minnesota, where nature and tranquility enveloped him. The mountains called to him with their majestic splendor, a refuge for contemplation and joy. Music was another passion of his, resonating within him and serving as a soundtrack to the life he shared with others.
Each holiday season was a treasured opportunity for Joseph, as he delighted in creating joyous memories with his beloved wife, Diane, and their children—Todd, Michele, and Marc. His heart expanded even further with the arrival of grandchildren—Sara, Mozie, Jordan, Hannah, Alena, Juniper, and Dominico—and a great-grandchild, Serene. These relationships brought him immeasurable joy, and it was their laughter that filled his home with warmth and love.
Survived by his devoted wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild. Joseph is also survived by his sister's. Mary Jo, Teresa and Donna whom he loved dearly.
Joseph now joins his parents, Joseph and Irma Mazzitelli, parents-in-law, Raymond and Delores Page, and his brother in-law, Jim Bill in eternal rest. Their spirits will live on through the memories they created together and the love they imparted to those around them.
A memorial service to honor Joseph’s life will be held on July 26, 2025, at the family home in Lakewood, Colorado. Beginning at 2 PM, this gathering will celebrate the legacy of a man whose life illuminated the hearts of many. As we reflect on the cherished moments and the impact of his laughter, let us carry forward the joy he brought into our lives.
