MCDONOUGH, JOSEPH of South Boston and Dorchester, passed away on September 16th, 2025 at Alliance Health at Marina Bay Nursing Home.
Son of the late Coleman and Dorothy (Holland) McDonough. Preceded in death by three of his sisters, Dolly Stangel, Joanne Joyce and Mary McDonough and his brother Dennis McDonough. Survived by his sister, Betty Durant of Orange City, FL and his brother, Dave McDonough of Humarock & Ft. Pierce, FL. Also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He attended Boston Public Schools and was a very proud former member of the U.S. Marine Corps. Joe was a property manager for Savin Hill Realty & McDonough Family, LLLP. He was a huge WWII History Buff and a big trivia fan. Joe was a man of a few words but was well loved and respected.
Visitation and funeral services will be arranged by Casper Funeral Home and will be private.
Donations may be made in his name to the How House, 41 Van Winkle St., Dorchester, MA 02124.
