Joseph Michael "Mike" McDougall, 84, of Marshfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on September 21, 2025.

Mike proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and went on to enjoy a long and successful career, retiring as a manager with AT&T. Post retirement Mike kept busy by actively mentoring the next generation of communication workers to help make certain that they would enjoy lasting, successful and thriving careers at JCI/Netversant. Known for his quiet strength, dedication, and deep love for his family, Mike touched the lives of many with his kindness and unwavering support.

He was the beloved son of the late Leo James Parenti and Claire Jane (Powers) Parenti. Mike is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Catherine Frances "Fran" (Hurley) McDougall, with whom he built a beautiful life filled with travel, love and laughter. He was the cherished father of Kathleen Allison McDougall and Timothy Michael McDougall, both of Marshfield, and Brendan Patrick McDougall of Pembroke.
Mike was a dear brother to Peter Leo McDougall and his wife Linda of East Bridgewater, Claire "CeCe" Corry and her husband John of Hingham, James "Jimmy" Parenti and his wife Michelle of Hingham, and the late Flora G. "Trudy" McLaughlin. He will also be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, extended family and many dear friends.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, September 26th at 10:30 AM at St. Christine Catholic Church, 1295 Main Street (Route 3A), Marshfield. Private burial will follow at The Gardens at Gethsemane Cemetery, West Roxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Mike's memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
