Joseph Messina Jr. Obituary
Joseph John Messina Jr., 78, of Zanesville, died at 12:09 A.M. on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at Genesis Hospital. He was born November 29, 1946, in Dorchester, MA. A son of the late Joseph Messina Sr.
Joseph was a handyman and worked as a plumber. He loved reading his Bible and was a member of the Word of God Community Church in Ironspot, OH. Joseph found joy in classic TV shows and especially liked watching the Andy Griffith Show and Three's Company. Joseph was a good man and good father, he will be missed by those that loved him.
He is survived by his son Joseph Messina and his longtime girlfriend, Amanda Lundy who was also Joseph Jr’s live in caregiver; a daughter, Rosemary Hollett; grandchildren, Lucio, Matthew, Angelia, Nathan, JJ, and Shannon; great grandson, Karson; aunt; Charlotte Messina; nephew, Phillip Messina; fiance, Diana Snyder.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Messina.
A cremation will take place under the direction of the BOLIN-DIERKES FUNERAL HOME, 1271 BLUE AVENUE, ZANESVILLE.
