Mr. Joseph E. Miller, 46, of the Pineywoods community, passed from this life on December 15, 2023, at his residence.
Joe seemed never to meet a stranger and had many friends he was truly thankful for and always had time to talk to or listen to. He was loved most by those who truly knew him best and will be greatly missed.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
Mr. Miller is preceded in death by his grandparents Vernon South of the Pineywoods community; Erskine & Marjorie Miller of Sipsey; sister Leighann Miller of Jasper; brother Donald West of Jasper; and sister-in-law Cindy West of Jasper.
He is survived by his grandmother Augusta South of Pineywoods; mother Janice Stewart (Randal) of Pineywoods; father Allen Miller (Margaret) of Pineywoods; sister Christina Russell (Robert) of Sumiton; brothers Dewayne West (Amy) of Jasper and David West of Pineywoods; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Services: Visitation will be held Friday, December 22, 2023, at 5:00 PM in the Sam Hood Memorial Chapel, with memorial services following at 6:00 PM. Jeffery Wiggins and Dewayne West will officiate.
