Joseph Edward Moritko

JOSEPH EDWARD MORITKO, 95, of Jackson Twp., NJ, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Monmouth Medical Center-Southern Campus, Lakewood Twp., NJ. He was born in Perth Amboy, NJ and resided in Edison, NJ, prior to settling in Jackson Twp. 29 years ago.
Joseph received his Bachelor's degree from Rutgers University, NJ.
He was employed as a teacher for the Perth Amboy Board of Education for 25 years prior to his retirement in 1986.
Joseph was a communicant of St. Aloysius Roman Catholic Church, Jackson Twp. He was an avid photographer, and enjoyed art, culture, politics and music.
Joseph was predeceased by his parents, Joseph Sr. and Yolantha Moritko; and by his wife, Sarah in 2006. He is survived by his son, Joseph Steven Moritko; his daughters, Lee Ann Pisano and Jackie Marrinan and her husband, Chris; his grandchildren, Keenan Marrinan, Erik Marrinan and Joseph Pisano; and by his brother, Michael Moritko.
Arrangements are private and are under the care of the GEORGE S. HASSLER FUNERAL HOME, 980 Bennetts Mills Rd., Jackson, NJ.
