Joseph A. Narducci

Joseph A Narducci, 88 of Franklin, passed away peacefully at his home with family at his side on Sunday January 26, 2025 following a long illness. Joe was the beloved husband of the late Giovannina (Jenny) Narducci. Joe and Jenny were married for 59 years.
Joe was born on March 21,1936 in the village of Santa Maria Del Molise, Italy. He was the son of the late Nicola and Christina Narducci. He is the loving father of Carmella and her husband, Rob, Sandra and her husband, Don, Joey and his wife, Beth. He leaves his cherished grandchildren, Nicole, Timothy, Katie, Nicholas, Andrew and Jenna. He also leaves behind four great-children, Carter and Peyton and two new great-children due soon. Joe leaves his cherished nieces and nephews and loving brothers, Domenic and Michael Narducci, and sisters, Elizabeth Carlucci and Jennie Guilmette.
Joe's life began in Southern Italy where he lived with his family until he was 19 years of age. In the mid 1950's the family decided that it was time to relocate from Italy due to hardship and lack of opportunity at the time. At 19 years old; Joe, along with his sister Elizabeth and younger brother Domenic, boarded the Andrea Doria in Naples for the long ocean journey to America. His early days in America were spent working hard in various jobs. He had a strong determination to succeed and establish himself for a future with family. In 1963 Joe returned to Italy briefly to marry his beautiful wife, Giovannina.
Joe had many skills from working on the railroad in his early years in America, to framer and mason including the formation of the Narducci Construction Corporation along with his brothers Mike and Domenic. Eventually though he left construction to work in a textile mill, and later as a maintenance person at Wrentham State School where he worked for 15 years, and then the Franklin Public School system where he retired. In addition, Joe had a passion for real estate investing where he acquired properties over the years that gave him pride. Joe was a life-long resident of Franklin for nearly 70 years. He and his wife were devoted parishioners of St. Mary's Church in Franklin, MA.
His love in life was his family. Family was not just an important thing to him- it was everything!
Joe loved his masonry skills and working with his hands, building walls and walkways but his heart was always with his family. He worked very hard and was very strong, kind, funny, overflowing with love of his Italian culture. His passions included wine making and his favorite game of Italian scopa which he was very competitive. What mattered most to Joe was family, hard work, laughter and love. He will always be in our hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral on Saturday, February 1, at 9:00 am from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, followed by a funeral mass at St. Mary's church, Franklin at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow at the parish cemetery.
Calling hours are Friday, January 31st from 4-7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Mary Parish Fire Fund or a charity of one's choice.
