Joseph Piazza Obituary
Joseph Louis Piazza, 87 years old of Southview, died Monday, January 1, 2018 in Townview Health and Rehab Center, Canonsburg.
He was born June 21, 1930 in Herminie, Son of the late Joseph and Teresa Mezzorabba Piazza Sr.
Mr. Piazza served in the Navy around the Korean war time.
He was a member of St. Mary Parish, former member of Holy Angels Church in Southview, where he was the caretaker of the church. He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul society, Southview and Hickory Volunteer Fireman, and the Southview baseball coach and manager.
He worked as a tester for McGraw Edison.
Surviving are Son, Dominick "Mick" (Juliana) Piazza of Southview, Daughter, Theresa Piazza of Carnegie, Daughter, Victoria Piazza of Las Angeles, CA, Grandchild, Christina (Ryan) Robertson of Crafton, Grandchild, Talia Piazza of Pittsburgh, Great-Grandchild, Madison Robertson of Crafton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Piazza and four brothers Felix, John, Emil, and Bill Piazza, and a sister Eleanor Ravitz.
Friends will be received 2-4 & 6-8 P.M., Thursday, January 4, 2018 at the Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services 3378 Millers Run Road (Rt.50) , Cecil, where a Blessing service will be held on Friday, January 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Father Stan Gregorek, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
