Joseph D. Powers "Joe", 83 of Avon Lake peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family and into the arms of his Savior on Sunday, June 26, 2022. He was born September 21, 1938, to Walter and Katherine (nee Osborne) Powers in Jewell Ridge, VA.
Joe was United States Air Force veteran and worked for Ford at their plant in Brook Park for 38 years. He was a member of UAW Local #1250 Brook Park and attended church with his family. He enjoyed bluegrass music, playing his banjo and harmonica, collecting die-cast cars, and loved adding to his Christmas village.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Beulah (nee Crigger); loving children Pam Bilski (Rich) of Sheffield Lake, Anita Klembarsky (John) of North Ridgeville, Kevin Powers (Allison) of Avon Lake and Lori Lick (Randy) of Sheffield Village; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; dear siblings Ronnie, Alan, Marie and Dot.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Katherine and his sister, Sue.

Family and friends may call for a visitation from 5:00pm - 8:00pm on Thursday, June 30, 2022, at Busch Funeral Home 163 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Oh 44012. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11am with a visitation one hour prior to the services. Reverend Mike Payne to officiate.
